The Diode Laser Pump Module 9.6 CW is the latest pump module design of the pump module family offered by LASTRONICS. It delivers a maximum output peak power of up to 8.0 kW pulsed or 4.4 kW c.w. with four laser diode stacks installed. The laser diodes are homogenized by a build-in homogenizer unit resulting in a naturally homogenized, unpolarized beam with a spot size of 2,2 mm diameter. The PM 9.6CW offers a high brightness in a smooth beam profile with additional beam shaping and homogenization optics. The PM9.6CW incorporates micro-channel cooled laser diode stacks, making the use of de-ionized water for cooling mandatory. It needs to be driven by an actively cooled, high-duty-cycle laser diode driver like the Lastronics LDD 1312HDLC. In such a setup short connector cables can be used to achieve short pulse rise times. The PM 9.6CW can also be part of an integrated system consisting of several pump modules and laser diode drivers. The pump module facilitates the monitoring of important operating parameters like water flow, temperature, humidity and forward voltage. A CAN-Bus interface is built in for the data exchange with the pump module. A suitable control software solution can be provided. LASTRONICS also offers all necessary devices such as Laser Diode Drivers, Interlocks, computer controlled user interfaces and all required safety installations.
Applications: The PM 9.6CW is typically used for pumping solid state lasers with very high repetition rates (100-1.000 Hz) or for continuous wave pumping. Other possible applications are bright IR-illumination, materials processing or laser cleaning.
